Newell blasts offcials' decisions

The Millers took the lead through Adam Le Fondre's penalty after Robbie Stockdale was adjudged to have handled, and then a soft free-kick allowed Michael Cummins to grab the winner three minutes after Peter Sweeney had deservedly levelled. Newell said: "Decisions went against us from start to finish and we got nothing from the assistant on our side all night. "The referee was a long way behind play for the penalty and his assistant didn't see it. Robbie had his hands by his side and didn't move them towards the ball. The interpretation is meant to be movement towards the ball and then it's a handball. "So we weren't happy with that, and then we had a great response and got back into it but then a free-kick has gone against us. We don't believe that was a foul either but when you are down there these things go against you. "But it was the response we were looking for after the dire and lifeless display against Crewe. On another night, we might have got a result."
