Mariners won't appeal Atkinson red
The 22-year-old centre-back was shown a straight red by referee Kevin Stroud in the 79th minute for serious foul play after bringing down Cobblers substitute Liam Davis.[LNB]Atkinson, a free signing from Barnsley in January after two separate loan spells, will sit out a three-game ban, missing Saturday's trip to Lincoln, Tuesday week's clash with Bradford and the rearranged match with Macclesfield on November 28.[LNB][LNB]
