And the Mariners' manager has stressed the importance of sharing goals throughout the team rather than relying on the strikers.[LNB]A dismal first half of the season saw Grimsby languishing in the bottom three and with the fewest number of goals scored in the division with 19 in 23 games.[LNB]However, since the turn of the year they have started to find the net with more regularity with 11 goals in seven matches.[LNB]"The good thing is that we are scoring goals at the moment. I think we had the worst goal record in the league and now we feel like we have got goals in us," Newell told the Grimsby Telegraph.[LNB]"It is not just up front either, but in all positions. We don't have to rely on the strikers. I have never been one to say you need a 20-goal a season striker - though obviously it is a bonus if you do get one - but if you get goals from everywhere then you know the team is playing well."[LNB][LNB]
