The Mariners somehow went in 1-0 up at the interval thanks to a 31st-minute strike from Adam Proudlock. But the Shakers hit back with second-half goals from Andy Bishop and Andy Morrell to seal all three points.[LNB]Newell said: "Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say you were beaten by the better side.[LNB]"I was relieved at half-time when we were 1-0 up but I knew we were up against it. If you look at the chances they created and the football they played then maybe we were lucky it was only two."[LNB]"The goals they scored were frustrating and sloppy but they had other chances, more chances than us.[LNB]"It is hard when you have players that have not played a lot of games," Newell added. "Chris Llewellyn and Danny Boshell put in decent shifts and Peter Bore did a job at right-back. But it's disruptive when you make three changes to your side and you haven't got replacements."[LNB][LNB]
