Lavers to stay with Mariners
The 18-year-old left-back, who was released by Watford's academy towards the end of last season, played 75 minutes of Town's pre-season friendly win at Winterton at the weekend.
Mariners boss Mike Newell said: "He's done alright and showed a lot of energy.
"It's hard to judge him fully in a game like that against opposition of that standard, without being detrimental to Winterton.
"He's only 18, though, and has come up from Watford so we'll continue to look at him this week."
