Kalala set to undergo operation
The Oldham man has been suffering from a stress reaction to a bone near his groin.
Due to the terms of his loan agreement Kalala trains at Boundary Park for part of each week and Oldham physio Marc Czuczman admits an operation is the best way forward.
Czuczman told Oldham's official website: "JP has been playing games for Grimsby but the symptoms have meant he has been fading in the final 20 minutes.
"We have decided the best thing for the player and Grimsby is to get him operated on now."
