Jarman: Newell gets best out of me

The 22-year-old was an impressive contributor as the Blundell Park outfit avoided the drop out of the Football League, scoring seven times for the Mariners. Newell opted to employ the former Barnsley man on the right wing for the latter part of the season, preferring to use Barry Conlon in attack. But Jarman is happy to play wherever Newell asks him and is confident the former Luton boss can bring success back to the club. "Mike has been really good with me," he said. "He put me in the team straight away for my work-rate and he offered me a contract. He put me on the wing and I think I did well there, he managed to get the best out of me. "I think he's already said he's looking at promotion next season. You can tell with him anyway that he won't tolerate another season like this and by all accounts we're going to go for it next season."
