Injury headache for Hereford clash
The Mariners squad has been stretched by injuries and suspensions in what has been a disappointing start to the season.
However, Adrian Forbes could be involved against the Bulls after making good progress in his recovery from a knee injury.
There is also positive news of central defenders Matt Heywood (foot) and Paul Linwood (knee) who were both injured against Port Vale, but have recovered quickly and should be fit.
Peter Bore (hamstring), Robbie Stockdale and Rob Atkinson are also expected to feature.
However, goalkeeper Nick Colgan (groin), striker Nathan Jarman (foot), midfielder Nick Hegarty (ankle) and striker Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro (thigh) are all ruled out.
Newell will also be without suspended trio Danny Boshell, Barry Conlon and Adam Proudlock as the Mariners go in search of their first points at home this season.
