Forrester not keen on Mariners job
Forrester, who now runs his own football academy after retiring in the summer, spent two years with the Mariners as a player in a career that took him to 11 clubs.[LNB]Now 35, Forrester still plays semi-pro for Lincoln United, and has been touted as a potential replacement for Mike Newell at Blundell Park.[LNB]But he has no interest in applying for the position, and said: "I imagine I'm just behind Hope Powell and Santa Claus in the betting.[LNB]"I didn't know I was in the betting and I've not got anywhere near applying for it. It's a tough one because I'm very busy with the stuff I'm doing.[LNB]"It's a very competitive arena and when a club like Grimsby are looking for a new manager you get 40 or 50 seasoned managers applying. It's flattering that someone has linked me with that post but it's not something I would actively look to do."[LNB][LNB]
