Colgan raring to finally get going

The 35-year-old arrived from Sunderland in the summer but a groin tear - picked up in pre-season and aggravated in the second game of the season against Tranmere - has blighted the start to his Grimsby career. But the Irishman is back in full training eager to make an impact. "I'm ready to go but it's down to the manager and Dave Moore (physio) to assess what they want to do," he told the Grimsby Telegraphy. "We'll see where we go from here, but I'm keen to make up for lost time. "It's been really frustrating - especially coming to a new club. "It's never nice because you want to get out and show what you are capable of and I've not been able to."
