Gretna's caretaker manager Mick Wadsworth believes that his club can still secure SPL survival, having been boosted by a 4-2 thrashing of Kilmarnock.
The win takes Gretna to within nine points of Killie and Wadsworth is eyeing a great escape.
He commented: "It's a nice feeling to get a win, especially as we've worked so hard for this. It's not too late to stay up. We can fight to stay in the SPL.
"I'm pleased the squad have pulled together and of course we still have a chance. We have three games against St Mirren, we have to play Killie again, so you never know.
"To pull this result off with those goals gives me great hope and reason for optimism for the rest of the season."
