Gretna's caretaker boss Mick Wadsworth has admitted he may struggle to get a team together for the game with Celtic.
The Black and Whites were forced to field a weakened side for Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Aberdeen as several regular first-team players asked to miss the game to safeguard their fitness as they searched for a new club.
Wadsworth said: "It's out of my hands. But if things get better this week and there's a strong interest from three parties, that will calm a lot of nerves because a lot of players don't want to leave.
"I'm not confident either way. I'm realistic. We're in a perilous state and it's been an incredible turn of events and a big shock to everyone."
