Gretna boss Davie Irons was proud of his players as they just failed to hold on to beat Celtic at Fir Park on Sunday.
The Black and Whites led 1-0 with only four minutes left and looked set to complete a shock victory until two late goals by Gordon Strachan's side broke the home side's resistance.
The defeat leaves Gretna rooted to the foot of the SPL table, but Irons took lots of positives from the match.
"I'm very frustrated and disappointed, but I'm also proud of those players - we've shown once again that we can compete in the SPL," he told the club's official website.
"As the clock ticked on, I was sure we'd take something from the game. I thought we had something, I really did.
"The boys were magnificent. We know we're not the best football side, we've not got the best players in the league, but on the day our effort and commitment was there for everybody to see."
