Gretna boss Davie Irons is hoping to be handed cash to spend in the January transfer window, with his side struggling at the foot of the SPL table.
Irons' side have picked up just four points from 11 games in the league this season and look set for a quickfire return to the Scottish first division.
He told BBC Sport: "Owner Brooks Mileson will bring players in during the transfer window if it's worthwhile.
"He will bring out the cheque book, just as he has in previous seasons.
"The problem is that we have to make it worthwhile and stay in touch with one, two or possibly three teams."
