Irons cool despite defeat

Gretna manager Davie Irons refused to press the panic button despite seeing his side routed 4-0 by Falkirk on their SPL debut.
The Black and Whites were torn apart at Fir Park by a strong Bairns outfit, but Irons stood up for his players.
He said: "If we have to strengthen we will, but the majority of players played at a decent level and we didn't look out of place.
"We hit the post in the second half and then they went up the park and scored. We missed another chance and again they went up and scored.
"But we win as a team and lose as a team. You can point the finger at individuals, but we won't be criticising anyone.
"So it's a wee bit early to think about strengthening, but if we have to there is scope there to do it."
