Irons aims for league boost

Gretna boss Davie Irons is hoping a first win of the season in the CIS Insurance Cup can kick-start their stuttering start to life in the Scottish Premier League.
The Black & Whites have picked up just one point from four league games following their promotion last season, but sealed their first victory of the campaign with a 3-1 win over Cowdenbeath on Tuesday evening.
"It's testament to how far we've come as a club that two years ago we were on a level playing field to Cowdenbeath and now we're in the SPL," said Irons.
"The first win was a psychological hurdle for us and hopefully we can now move on and get some points in the league."
