Hall seals Gretna switch

Shrewsbury Town defender Danny Hall has joined Scottish Premier League basement club Gretna on a permanent contract.

Utility man Hall, 24, began his career at Oldham Athletic before moving to the New Meadow at the start of last season.

Having made just under 50 appearances for the Shrews, manager Gary Peters thinks it is time for him to move on.

He told the club's official website: "Danny is a lad who can play in a number of positions, and maybe that is his downfall in so far as he can always be moved about and hasn't got a regular position.

"We had an offer for Danny to go out to SPL side Gretna and we feel it's probably time to change a few things around."
