Fears grow for Gretna players

Gretna's players have been warned that they could lose their jobs, after it was confirmed that the club would be going into administration this week.
Owner Brooks Mileson has cut all ties with the club and only a cash loan from the SPL has ensured that the Black and Whites will be able to fulfil their fixtures this season.
Players' Union chief Fraser Wishart said: "Gretna aren't yet in full administration but, once that happens, I'll have a meeting with them to discuss the players' point of view.
"The players are in limbo, but have a game against St Mirren they must prepare for. But I know the consequences for players aren't good. I'm sure some of them will lose their contracts, but that's not clear.
"I've advised the players of their rights and I always go on about how football players' employment is different.
"It's a dreadful situation for the players. In the meantime they're being asked to play games and train as normal so it's a testing time for them mentally. They're also concerned about Brooks' health.
"It only takes one change of situation for it to go this way."
