End in sight for Gretna

Gretna are on the verge of being put into liquidation after the last person keen on taking over the club admitted he would not be taking his interest any further.
Agent Paul Davies has confirmed he will not proceed with a deal to save the club after they were demoted to the Third Division.
He said: "As far as we're concerned the deal is dead and buried. We asked for clarification on certain matters as part of our business plan and they weren't forthcoming.
"No-one can clarify the extent of the football debts and until they do, I don't think anyone can do a deal."
Chairman Ron MacGregor refuses to give up hope though, saying: "We've got to keep searching. Until the last option is exhausted, we must still have hope."
