Deuchar set on Gretna exit
21 Jan 2008 - 12:18:51
Gretna striker Kenny Deuchar is determined to try and score as many goals as possible this season, as he prepares to leave the club next summer.
The 27-year-old has already decided to move on at the end of the campaign, despite returning from a loan spell at St Johnstone to score three times in his last eight games.
Deuchar told the News & Star: "I hope scoring goals will help get me noticed. I'm trying to do as well as I can on the pitch for whoever I'm playing for.
"It's always great to score goals and that's what I enjoy doing. That's what I always try to do on the park and if it gets me noticed by people then that's great.
"If I'm not scoring goals people aren't going to be talking about me, so it's better I get on the scoresheet.
"The door is definitely closed and I won't be extending my contract, I told them that at the start of the season."
