Gretna winger Ryan Baldacchino has ended a five-year association with the club after agreeing to join Victorian Premier League side Altona Magic in Australia.
The 27-year-old scored 16 goals in 113 appearances for the Black and Whites but is now looking forward to starting a new chapter in his career.
He said: "I've been here for nearly five years now and I'm devastated that I have to leave but I've been left with little choice.
"I did have another year on my contract and the original plan was to go out on loan to a club in Australia or America at the end of the Scottish season.
"But because I've been injured for a long time, I need to play regular football and I was going to come back for the new season with Gretna.
"Everything had been sorted but obviously the situation has changed now and it doesn't look good for the club."
