Greece - Greek media praise players, blast referee

Greek media on Saturday gave overwhelming praise to the country's national team for its battling Euro 2012 opening draw against hosts Poland but harsh words were reserved for Spanish referee Carlos Velasco Carballo.
"Greece was another team in the second-half with (substitute and goal-scorer) Dimitris Salpingidis and only 10 men in the line-up and they nearly came away the winners," Athens daily Goal News said on its front page.
"They showed that they have come to the Euro to stay."
Fos Ton Spor described Carballo's officiating as "scandalous" and said he was Poland's best player.
Sports daily Gavros echoed the sentiment, saying Greece managed a draw "despite playing with 10 players and with the referee against them".
