Woodward to step down at Grays

Grays Athletic chairman Mike Woodward has announced he will step down at the end of this season, but will remain at the club as a director.Woodward made the decision in the aftermath of Tuesday's 4-1 defeat at Histon in the Blue Square Premier.He told BBC Essex: "I can't keep on financing a club at this level when I've got people who don't want me."They [the fans] made it very evident last night, I think my time is up as chairman and I'm going to stand down."Woodward has bank-rolled the club up .... read more
