 Grays Ath : 26 year old Cooksey can play anywhere in midfield but prefers a role on the left . His high work rate and the knack of scoring goals from midfield is what attracted Rochdale boss Steve Parkin to the midfielder . He signed Cooksey on a two year contract from Oldham in September 2004 and he soon became a favourite at Spotland due to his all action style . He finished with 5 goals last season and is sure to play a major role for the club this coming season .
