Weston strike sends Gills through

28 November 2009 18:45
The Gills' mean defence helped to make it four home wins and four clean sheets on the spin and Weston's seventh of the season settled the tie.[LNB]Gillingham started brightest and Burton keeper Shane Redmond was forced to make a great double save from Simeon Jackson and Stuart Lewis after three minutes.[LNB]Burton's clearest sight of goal came on the half hour but Guy Branston headed wide when well placed.[LNB]The Brewers should have taken the lead on 58 minutes but with Steve Kabba free alongside him Russell Penn chose to shoot and fired over.[LNB]Febian Brandy was the architect as the Gills took the lead after 69 minutes, freeing Weston down the left and the former Millwall midfielder gave Redmond no chance.[LNB][LNB]
