Weston setback for Gills

Curtis Weston will be absent for Gillingham's trip to Morecambe after a recurrence of his thigh injury. The 23-year-old midfielder returned to the Gills side as a second-half substitute in last weekend's defeat to Lincoln but his thigh problem needed icing after flaring up once more during the game. "Curtis will be missing for another two weeks," boss Andy Hessenthaler confirmed. "He wasn't ready but he's so keen to play. "I spoke to the doctor who said he can't keep trying to play like this. If he is out for two weeks he will be able to come back and stay back, otherwise he will keep aggravating it." Lance Cronin is due to make his Gillingham debut in goal after Alan Julian was ruled out for a fortnight with a broken hand. Barry Fuller, Cody McDonald, Jack Payne and Mark McCammon are all back in training and in contention for the clash at the Globe Arena.
