Stimson opts to keep Barcham

Gillingham boss Mark Stimson has persuaded Andy Barcham to sign a one-month extension to his current loan deal at the Priestfield Stadium.

The 21-year-old moved to the Gills from Tottenham at the end of September and has scored twice in 11 appearances for Stimson's side. He will remain at the club until Boxing Day.

Meanwhile, teenage striker Adam Burchell has joined Blue Square South side Welling United on work experience.

The second year apprentice has failed to make a first-team appearance for the Gills but has featured for the reserves.
