Stimson fears for Fuller
19 Nov 2008 - 16:26:03
Gillingham boss Mark Stimson is concerned that Barry Fuller is heading for a second suspension of the season after picking up another yellow card at the weekend.
Fuller, who has already served a one-match ban this term, was booked for a seventh time at the end of the win against Rotherham United.
Stimson said: "It was unfortunate Barry Fuller picked up a silly booking right at the end.
"That's put him on seven now and he has to be careful, because he's an aggressive player and we don't want him getting to ten bookings early on and to be missing him over the Christmas period. That could be costly."
Fuller will receive a two-game ban if he accumulates three more bookings between now and the second Sunday of April, and will also receive a warning from the FA as to his future conduct.
