Stimson praises winning display

Mark McCammon scored the only goal as the Gills all but secured their own top-seven spot, and Stimson was proud of the way his team responded to keep out the home side. He said: "We are going to try and get six points from the last two games and see where that takes us. It's nice to get two wins on the bounce after we had a bit of a hiccup but what is also pleasing is the performances. "As a manager you look to win first, but if you get a gritty performance in as well and come to a team that's not been beaten very often recently and win 1-0, that's the sign of a half-decent side. "I am really proud of the players. As a manager you just ask them to go out every week and give 100%. "They have been doing that and now they are getting their rewards. If they continue to do that then I can stand here and say I was proud of them this season."
