Stimson keeps feet on the ground
The Gills moved into the automatic promotion spots for the first time this season after Simeon Jackson's goal gave them a 1-0 win.
And Stimson said: "I can't tell you if we will finish in the top three, but what I can say is that we will give it a mighty good go.
"Tables mean nothing at this stage. It's only performances and results that count and what a result that was.
"Simeon Jackson is a natural finisher and a good lad. He wants to go further and play at a higher level, so we must enjoy him while we can and hopefully he will score the goals to get us where we want to go."
Meanwhile, a young Gills reserve side including seven trialists drew 2-2 with Aldershot at Priestfield on Wednesday afternoon, young midfielder Charlie Howard and former Fulham man Lewis Smith on target.
