Stimson hopeful over Dickson bid

Stimson is desperate to add to his strikeforce before the new season and is a long-term admirer of Dickson, who scored 11 goals in a loan spell at Priestfield in 2007 but has struggled to win a regular spot at The Valley. He said: "Chris is the one we would like. He did well at the club before and scores goals and if we could get someone like that we would all be very happy. "Chris is a character, we know where he has been and he appreciates where he is. He plays with that buzz and plays as though it's his last game. He wants to score goals and wants to be loved. "When he was here before he was loved because he put the ball in the back of the net and that's the hardest thing to do in the game. "I don't think we've got any more money so that's probably our best offer, so let's have a yes or no and if it's a no we'll have to move on."
