The 25-year-old has been ever-present for the Gills so far this season but his loan spell ends after Saturday's home game with Hartlepool. However, Stimson has been impressed with the former Bournemouth man and is in talks over a permanent move. He told KentNews: "I would sign him permanently if I can. He's made a good impact on me and I think if he played on the right-hand side [of central defence] he would be even better. "He's done a fantastic job for us on the left-hand side because it is hard to play on your wrong side if you're not natural there. He's got good pace and there's a lot more in there we could get out of him. "We're talking and trying to get something done to take him permanently. I think there's a good chance of getting him, the kid's really interested in coming and has enjoyed his time here."
