Stimson bullish over play-off push

Goals from Simeon Jackson and Dennis Oli secured three points for the Gills, who remain among the play-off places as they target a swift return to League One. "When I was managing in the Conference I was always challenging for a play-off place and I want to continue this at Gillingham," said Stimson, who was manager at Grays and Stevenage. "You want to be there or thereabouts in March and we have two home games coming up against Darlington and Shrewsbury and hopefully we can get points from them and see where we are then with nine games to go. "Accrington is a really difficult place to come to and the first goal is always going to be important. It was a bit scrappy but we don't mind scrappy goals. "They then put us under a bit of pressure as they need a couple of wins to be safe and we needed a second which luckily we got. Again it was a bit scruffy but we will take them. I am pleased with the three points - and all we can do now is keep winning games."
