Stimson bemoans defensive lapses

A brace for Ian Thomas-Moore and goals from John Welsh and Terry Gornell secured the points for Rovers, with Curtis Weston and Andy Barcham on target for the Gills. Stimson said: "I have got to be disappointed. I don't think we deserved to lose 4-2. We played some good football at times but we conceded some sloppy goals. "We dug in to twice get back in the game. At 2-2 I thought we would go on to be the winners but Tranmere got two breakaway goals which put a dampner on it. "There were some good aspects for us but we have got to cut out the mistakes at the back. I don't like losing anything and we have got to improve in the coming weeks and take our chances."
