The 22-year-old guided the Gills to promotion with the winning goal in last month's League Two play-off final against Shrewsbury before netting on his international debut for Canada. "It will do him no harm," Stimson told KentOnline. "If you're scoring goals and playing for your country you don't burn out, you ride the wave and you get a buzz off it. "He's a young kid with young legs and his fitness levels are fantastic. The best way to keep sharp and fit is to play games." Meanwhile, Stimson is confident his side can attract a big name club to Priestfield in pre-season after having confirmed 10 away friendlies against non-league opposition. He added: "We've sent out a memo to all Championship and Premiership clubs asking if they are available. Hopefully we can get a big game on at home for the supporters."
