Royce dismisses retirement talk

Gillingham goalkeeper Simon Royce says he wants to play on until at least his 40th birthday in two years' time. Royce, 38, has recently regained a spot in the first team, starting the last six games ahead of Alan Julian. He told BBC Radio Kent: "I'd love to play until I'm 40. I don't really see why not as long as I can still do it. "I do think I can still play. As long as somebody offers me a new deal I will keep playing. Another two years and then we will see."
