Oli missing for Gills

Gillingham will be without Dennis Oli for the trip to Lincoln, with medial knee ligament damage set to rule the forward out for the rest of the season. Oli's latest injury setback leaves the Gills short in attack, but assistant boss Ian Hendon is backing the club's younger players to step up to the plate. "Obviously we want as many players fit as possible at this stage of the season, but it gives other people an opportunity," said Hendon on Gillingham's official website. "Stefan Payne has been in and around the squad since coming back from his loan spell and Luke Rooney is in contention too, so it's up to those boys to step up to the plate." Changes could be on the cards for the play-off chasing Gills following last week's disappointing goalless draw with Hereford, with midfielder Danny Spiller back in contention after recovering from illness.
