Nutter doubt for Gills

Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler has an injury doubt over John Nutter for the trip to Burton. The left-back suffered a thigh strain during the second half of last weekend's 3-1 win over Accrington and will be assessed before the trip, although ready-made replacement Joe Martin is fit and available to deputise if necessary. Fellow defender Tony Sinclair is also doubtful with a slight ankle problem, while Danny Jackman could miss out after suffering a similar injury in a reserve outing against Brighton in midweek. Josh Gowling, along with midfielder Luke Rooney and Andy White, came through the second-string fixture unscathed with various amounts of game time under their belts, and all three could be in the squad to face the Brewers. Striker Dennis Oli is pushing for a starting role after a number of substitute appearances over recent weeks, although Adebayo Akinfenwa and Cody McDonald look set to resume their partnership in attack. The Gills are currently on an 11-match unbeaten run.
