Nobody's place secure - Stimson

Gillingham manager Mark Stimson says nobody is guaranteed a starting place for the new season, not even last year's player of the year Simon King."Simon King won every award last year but he's not guaranteed to start," Stimson told BBC Radio Kent. "Who knows, someone else can come in, and play better, or he (King) might have a little loss of form. "I just think it keeps everyone on their toes. It's healthy competition and you need that." Defender King missed their first pre-season game with Folkestone, and will not feature at Dartford on Tuesday because of a groin injury. He is however expected to be fit for the season opener at Swindon Town.
