Gillingham boss Ronnie Jepson has decided not to launch an appeal against Darren Byfield's red card in Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at Swindon Town.
The former Walsall striker faces a four-game suspension - three matches for the red card and an extra match as it was his second dismissal of the season.
Jepson told the Gills' official website: "I've looked at the video and it was reckless, but not over-aggressive.
"We know Darren hasn't got a bad bone in his body, but I think we'd struggle with an appeal and have decided to leave it.
"He's got a four-match ban and we'll miss him, but we'll have to go with what we've got."
