Cody McDonald is set to make is home debut for Gillingham on Tuesday night but knows he has some "very big shoes to fill". The 23-year-old signed for the Gills from Norwich in a part exchange deal which saw striker Simeon Jackson move to Carrow Road for a fee in the region of £600,000. The Jamaican Jackson has been very impressive in his last two seasons with Gillingham, scoring 34 league goals, and new frontman McDonald knows he has to shine at the Priestfield Stadium. McDonald, who made his Gills debut in a 4-0 victory over Calais on Saturday, said: "I don't know Simeon but the boys say he's a good lad and hopefully he goes to Norwich and does a really good job for them and I can do the same here. We'll just take each game and see how it goes. "I'm paid to score goals and I'm looking to come here and do that for Gillingham. "Hopefully we can get back into League One because the club is far too big to be in League Two and getting back to League One should be the start of a stepping stone for things to come."
