Keeper conundrum solved for boss

30 July 2009 16:08
Veteran Simon Royce and Alan Julian have been battling it out throughout pre-season for the right to start the opening day game against Swindon and Stimson has now made his mind up. "I've made my decision," he told the club's official website. "But I'll be keeping it to myself because I want to tell the keepers first. "They are going to be very important for us this season. The competition is good and they are both playing to near enough maximum." Stimson is still seeking a striker to add to the ranks before the season starts in nine days and he added: "We've got to add someone because we can't rely on the little man (Simeon Jackson) to get the goals. "We need someone to help him or if not start on the bench and come on to be a goal threat - we are trying our hardest to get someone in."
