Jepson bids to recruit

Gillingham boss Ronnie Jepson says he is still on the lookout for new players to bolster his misfiring Priestfield squad.

The Gills have lost all three of their games so far this season and have yet to score a goal, leaving Jepson in no doubt that reinforcements are needed.

He told the club's official website: "I'm still looking to bring players in.

"We're in the market for players and trying to get them down here and hopefully things will come to fruition.

"I need a bit of competition in the middle of the park as they're not doing enough for me in there at this moment in time.

"I am pleased with some aspects, but we need a little more strength in there at times."
