Jepson bemoans striker shortage

Gillingham boss Ronnie Jepson claims the 2-1 Carling Cup first-round defeat at Millwall only served to highlight his ever increasing need for a new striker.
The Gills are stuck in the League One relegation zone with a record of one win and three defeats so far this season, and Jepson witnessed his side dominate large spells of the game against the Lions on Tuesday, but fail to convert their chances.
Andrew Crofts did score to cancel out Kevin Braniff's goal, but Poul Hubertz grabbed the winner for Millwall late on to send them through to the second round.
Jepson was pleased with his side's performance but felt the lack of firepower was again costly.
He told the BBC: "Everybody's after a striker and if it's within the budget then great - but we can't go out and buy people.
"Me and my staff have been all over the country, phoning every manager in the Championship and Premiership, but we'll have to keep looking."
