Jackson set for Gills recall

The Canada international was left on the bench for the 2-1 defeat at Bristol Rovers after returning from international duty, a decision which some fans questioned vocally during the match. After the game Gills boss Mark Stimson defended his decision, telling the club's official website: "Jacko didn't train with us, he only arrived back on Thursday and we didn't train (on Friday) because of the weather so it would have been hard to put him straight back in." Gillingham have no fresh injury concerns after the weekend, with the only confirmed absentees being long-term injury victims Danny Jackman (shoulder) and Simon King (ankle ligaments).
