Jackson strike wins it for Gills

The Chairboys - who parted company with boss Peter Taylor on Friday - had twice come from behind against Mark Stimson's men. But Jackson's stunning lobbed finish in the 77th minute ensured Gills took all three points. Jackson had threatened on two occasions when centre-half Josh Gowling opened the scoring for the hosts - heading home his first goal for the club after 16 minutes. Craig Woodman's wonder strike drew Wanderers level as he rifled home from the edge of the box. But Gills held the half-time advantage when the Wycombe defence failed to clear a loose ball in the area and Curtis Weston rammed in from close range in the 44th minute. Wanderers refused to give in, though, and deservedly got their equaliser in the 62nd minute when Mark Bentley inadvertently diverted the ball past his own goalkeeper, deflecting Woodman's free-kick into the net. But Jackson ensured the points remained in Kent with his stunning winner.
