Jackson brace thrills the Gills

The Canadian international opened with a penalty after five minutes before delicately chipping his second straight after the break, with Luke Rooney completing the scoring after 76 minutes.[LNB]Jackson fired home a spot-kick via the right hand post to put the home side ahead after Marcus Stewart had bundled into Barry Fuller.[LNB]There were early signs of Exeter's desperation when Ryan Harley's 45-yard strike sailed over the bar in their first attempt at goal after 40 minutes.[LNB]Straight from the restart Richard Duffy's weak backpass was pounced upon by Jackson who lifted the ball over Oscar Jansson from six yards to notch his eighth of the season.[LNB]Liam Sercombe had the last of Exeter's efforts with a low 25-yard strike that fizzed just past the post. Rooney then added the third after John Nutter was given space to cross and find the on-rushing midfielder who hit home from 10 yards.[LNB][LNB]
