Hessenthaler left to rue Bury comeback
Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler expressed his regret at allowing a one-goal advantage to disappear after a 1-1 draw with Bury.Curtis Weston opened the scoring for a bright Gills side in the first half, but Ryan Lowe hit back with his 20th league of the season to keep the Shakers above Hessenthaler's men in the play-off places.Hessenthaler said: "We're disappointed with the draw because we were the home team."He added: "We were in a winning position at half-time, even though we hadn't played particularly well, and if you're ahead on your own patch you need to go on and win the game."You've got to give Bury credit, because they deserved to get something out of the game on the basis of their second half performance."We defended too deep, they kept the ball and we just didn't put enough pressure on the ball."
