Hessenthaler: We didn`t fire

Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler saw his side slip down to seventh with a goalless draw against Hereford and he admitted that too many of his players weren`t at the races. "We didn't fire apart from two or three," he said. "There were a lot of players out there that just let the game pass them by. Maybe we need to freshen things up a little bit. "We had time on the football but we just seemed to worry about that pass, and it became a long ball game. Don't get me wrong, they did a job on us. Jamie said to me they came here to frustrate and do a job on us. "Every time the ball went out of play, their goalkeeper took an age on it. It went out for a throw, they took an age on it. It was one of those afternoons, but you can't knock them for that. "They are away from home, just got beaten by four in the week and they have got a fantastic away record - they work very hard as a team."
