Hessenthaler to call upon Bentley
Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler looks set to recall midfielder Mark Bentley for the trip to Accrington.
The 32-year-old was rested for the 0-0 draw against Southend on Tuesday but, having started the previous eight league games, should regain his place in the starting XI.
John Nutter (groin) and Dennis Oli (hamstring) remain major doubts having missing the last two matches, although the former is more likely to play after returning to full training.
Mark McCammon, who missed the Shrimpers game with a bug, will be assessed as late as possible, while fellow striker Adebayo Akinfenwa is expected to be fit despite suffering a slight groin injury in midweek.
Midfielder Danny Jackman is definitely out, though, as he continues his recovery from a long-term knee injury.
